Wahl Presented With Golden Snow Shovel
BUCKSPORT — Larry Wahl, owner of Wahl’s Dairy Port in Bucksport, is the winner of the 2007 Ella B. Rayner Golden Snow Shovel Award.

The award recognizes the efforts of Main Street businesses in Bucksport for their efforts in keeping sidewalks clear and safe for pedestrians. Andy Lacher, owner of BookStacks, was the 2006 award recipient. The award was established by the Bucksport Bay Healthy Communities Senior Resource Subcommittee, which is chaired by Dottie VanHorn.The award was named in honor of Ella Rayner, a community advocate who stressed the importance of pedestrian safety.
